At the UNIX host, enter the “more eservices” command. A display similar to the following example should
appear. In this example, the last line is commented and charmer is the host name in the host prompt.
charmer 2# more eservices
# erpc remote programs

charmer 3#
Is the last line commented (# precedes the line)?

Enter the
ls -cal command. A list of files are displayed.
Is there an acp_passwd file?
YN
Create an acp_passwd file. Refer to the CSMIM2 Annex Administrative Guide, Book A, the chapter on
security for instructions. Try dialing in again.
Did the username display?
YN
Ping to the IP address of the CSMIM2.
Was the pinging successful?
YN
Go to Section 8.4 and proceed with that troubleshooting procedure.
