The problem may be with the cabling or the attached user device. Check the cable and device to make sure the cabling
used is the correct one and that it is not damaged. Also check the device for any indications of a problem. Correct as
necessary. Then reconnect the user device to the standalone hub.
Did the number of collisions remain reduced?
YN
Call Cabletron Technical Support.
Congratulations, the problem is solved. Reconnect all the other user device cables that were disconnected from the
standalone hub.
Shut off the SQE feature of the transceiver.
