4.9 When Loading the Driver for E22xx, There Is an Error Message “invalid i/o

address”

When the driver for the E22xx Card was loaded in the PC, the error message “invalid i/o address” was displayed. Running

E22_TEST.EXE caused the message “no E22xx adapter found” to display.

Is the PC PnP compliant?

Run QuickSet 2.04 or above and set the “Plug and Play System” to NO.

Now can you load the driver without getting the error message “invalid i/o address”?

4.10 An Error Message Displayed In the Windows NT Event Log Indicates that the

E22xx in Your PC Is Not Functioning

If the PC is plug-and-play compliant, it will allocate resources for the E22xx Card to use.

Is the PC plug-and-play compliant?

Call Cabletron Technical Support.

The resources allocated for the E22xx card must match those that you assign the card in Windows NT.

Boot the PC in MSDOS and run E22_TEST.EXE to determine what settings the card is using. Then use these settings in

Windows NT. Boot the PC again.

Does the error message appear again in the Windows NT Event Log?
