Local NetBIOS Filter View
To access: Click on the Local Name Filter Table button in the DLSw
Information View. This view provides information regarding the
filtering of NetBIOS frames received from local LAN segments. Each
entry shows one filter definition.
FilterID A unique identifier for this filter (1 through 100).
SourceAddress The source NetBIOS name that the source address in the incoming frame is
compared with.
DestAddress The destination NetBIOS name to which the destination address in the
incoming frame is compared.
NOTE
A frame passes the filtering criteria if both the source address and destination
address comparisons match. If the value in the NameFilterType field in the
Information View is Permit, frames passing the criteria are forwarded.
Remote SNA Frame Filter View
To access: Click on the Remote Frame Filter Table button in the DLSw
Information View. This view contains the Remote Frame Filter Table
which provides the filtering information for SNA frames received
from DLS participating routers other than those from local LAN
segments (which are described in the Local SNA Frame Filter View).
The fields are identical to those in the Local SNA Frame Filter View
described earlier.
