DS1 Fractional Table Conﬁg View

The DS1 Fractional Table identiﬁes which channels associated with a CSU are being used to

support a logical interface, i.e., an entry in the interfaces table from the Internet-standard

MIB. This view describes the different DS1 fractional states.

To access: Double-click on an entry in the DS1 Fractional Table in the DS1

Conﬁguration Table View.

Channel Number The channel number for this entry.

IF Index This ﬁeld displays the index value uniquely identifying an interface to a

DS1.

Interface This scrollbox lists the DS1 interfaces available on the device. Interfaces can

be assigned to speciﬁc channels.

Timeslots Indicates the twenty-four channels (timeslots) available for interface

assignments.

Bandwidth Displays the percentage of the Total DS1 line’s bandwidth in use by the

interface.

Settings This indicates the mode that you are in. While in Edit mode you can modify

the interfaces, the bandwidth, and the timeslots. While in View mode you are

watching the changes as they occur dynamically on the DS1 line.

Click on this button to apply any modiﬁcations made.

Click on this button to close the window and cancel any modiﬁcations that

have not been applied.
