Token Ring IF Views
Token Ring IF Views
There are three application-specific subviews available for the Token Ring IF
application from the TokenRingIfApp Icon, the Token Ring Performance,
Token Ring Configuration, and Token Ring Detail views. The Token Ring IF
Performance View displays a breakdown of statistics for the bridging
application, with the Detail View button accessing the Token Ring Detail
View, which is described earlier in this section.
Recoveries The number of Claim Token MAC frames received or transmitted after the
ring has received a Ring Purge MAC frame.
Token The number of times the station acting as active monitor recognizes an error
condition requiring a token be transmitted.
Hard Errors
Breakdown
This pie chart displays the breakdown of the following statistics: Abort
Trans, Internal, Signal Loss, Lobe Wire, and Frequency.
Abort Trans The number of times the station transmits an abort delimiter while
transmitting.
Internal The number of times the station recognizes an internal error.
Signal Loss The number of times the interface has detected the loss of signal condition
from the ring.
Lobe Wire The number of times the interface has detected an open or short circuit in
the lobe data path.
Frequency The number of times that the interface has detected that the frequency of
the incoming signal differs from the expected frequency by more than the
specified standard.
