Local SNA Frame Filter View
To access: Click on the Local Frame Filter Table button in the DLSw
Information View. The Local Frame Filter Table displays filters
definitions that can be applied to SNA frames received from local
LAN segments. Each entry shows one filter definition.
FilterID A unique identifier for this filter (1 through 100).
SourceAddress The source MAC address to which this filter is applied.
SourceMask A mask indicating the bits of the source address considered significant when
using the filter. For every bit equal to 1 in the mask, the same bit in the
SourceAddress is compared to the equivalent bit in the source address in the
incoming frame.
DestAddress The destination MAC address to which this filter is applied.
DestMask A mask indicating the bits of the destination address considered significant
when using the filter. For every bit equal to 1 in the mask, the same bit in
the DestAddress is compared to the equivalent bit in the incoming frame’s
destination address.
NOTE
A frame passes the filtering criteria if both the source address and destination
address comparisons match. If the value in the FrameFilterType field in the
Information View is Permit, frames passing the criteria are forwarded.
