Virtual Channel Link Table View

You can update, sort, or search the table for speciﬁc information. Double-clicking a

column entry accesses the interface-speciﬁc ATM Switch Application Virtual

Channel Link view, in which you can modify some ﬁeld values.

To access: Select VCL Table from the Icon Subviews menu with the

highlighted ATM_Client App icon.

IF Index Displays the interface index for this Virtual Channel link.

VPI Displays the Virtual Path Identiﬁer value of the VCL. The

maximum VPI value cannot exceed the value allowable by the

Interface MaxVPI Bits.

VCI Displays the Virtual Channel Identiﬁer value of the VCL. The

maximum VCI value cannot exceed the value allowable by the

Interface MaxVCI Bits.

Admin Status This ﬁeld is implemented only for a VCL that terminates a VCC

(i.e., one that is not cross-connected to other VCLs). Its value (“Up”

or “Down”) speciﬁes the desired administrative state of the VCL, i.e.,

whether trafﬁc ﬂow is enabled or disabled for this VCL.

Oper Status This ﬁeld indicates the current operational status of the VCL. “Up”

and “Down” indicate that the VCL is operational or not operational,

respectively. “Unknown” indicates that the status of this VCL

cannot be determined.

Last Change The value of sysUpTime at the time this VCL entered its current

operational state. If the current state was entered prior to the last

re-initialization of the agent, then this ﬁeld contains a zero value.

Rcv Descr. Index The value of this ﬁeld identiﬁes the row in the ATM Trafﬁc

Descriptor Table that applies to the receive trafﬁc direction of this

VCL.
