Wide Area Frame Relay Time Slot Conﬁguration Window

The Wide Area Frame Relay Time Slot conﬁguration window shown in Figure 33 displays when

you click on the N

ext>> button in the Wide Area T1, E1, or DI conﬁguration windows when

Frame Relay is chosen as the WAN Protocol.

The following section deﬁnes the ﬁelds in the Wide Area Frame Relay Time Slot conﬁguration

window.

Time Slots — A full line consists of 24 Time Slots (T1 and DI) or 31 Time Slots (E1), each

capable of up to 64 Kbps throughput. If you are leasing an entire line from your service provider,

you may select all the Time Slots by clicking the Select A

ll button. A “check mark” displays in the

selected box. If you have leased a portion of a fractional T1 or E1 line, the service provider tells

you which Time Slots are allocated for your use. In this case, select only those Time Slots.
